Psychological & Educational Assessment
Through psychological and educational testing, Dr. Sheava can help uncover possible underlying causes that may be contributing to challenges with one's learning, social/emotional functioning, and overall development. The evaluations are done completely online without the need for onsite assessments.

Dr. Sheava is trained in the aforementioned conditions and works collaboratively to bring forward an accurate assessment that leads to targeted treatment. Following the completion of an assessment, a comprehensive report detailing the findings and recommendations (including research-based strategies and interventions and necessary accommodations) is provided at a follow up session.
Educational Consultation & Advocacy
Dr. Sheava has been in the field for over 20 years, and is knowledgeable with regard to the California Education Code, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of ADA as well as working with private/independent schools in obtaining appropriate accommodations/supports to meet your child's needs. These educational systems can be intimidating when navigating on your own, however, Dr. Sheava has the expertise and experience necessary to advocate for your child's best interest. Dr. Sheava can assist with meetings as well as the development of IEPs/504 plans/learning plans, while recommending the most appropriate and individualized accommodations and modifications for your child.
In addition, Dr. Sheava also supports young adults, including college/graduate students in determining learning strengths/needs and how to advocate for supports/accommodations within higher education.
Educational Counseling
Educational counseling services are designed to help a student access and/or benefit from his or her education, including skills to facilitate transition to vocational settings.
