In the field of Psychology, ANTs is an acronym that stands for โ€œAutomatic Negative Thoughts.โ€

There are many types of ANTs, but one example would be....โ€If I cannot do it perfectly, I might as well not bother at all.โ€

These ANTS can heighten anxiety, disturb our wellbeing, alter our brain chemistry, and even prevent us from taking actions we want to take. ๐Ÿง  ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ


If you find yourself feeling mad, sad, nervous, or out-of-control, write down what you are thinking. Then identify which ANT is infesting your mind and talk back to it. Find the evidence which suggests that your ANT is wrong.

๐Ÿง  Challenging negative thoughts, takes away their power and gives YOU control over your thoughts, moods, and behaviors.
